VYBE: Visualize Yourself Better Everyday

Have you heard the phrase ‘good vibes’?

Have you ever stepped into a room and sensed the atmosphere? Some people walk into a room and immediately the crowd moves toward them; or, they may find themselves completely alone at a table while everyone chats happily on the opposite end of the room. What about when you walk into a house and you are instantly comfortable or uneasy. You can’t explain why, it’s just a feeling you get.

Are you used to thinking in terms of ‘vibes’?

Recent studies have shown that all of our bodies emit an electromagnetic field, and this fact plays a very important role. I am not saying that scientists are hippies although it does show an equal playing field.

Out of all the organs within our body, the heart emits the largest electromagnetic field. These fields hold information that can change based on how we are feeling, what we are thinking, and any different emotions we take on. The heart even sends signals to the brain through a system of neurons that can affect our experiences. The emotional information that’s held in these fields impact your surroundings, and these fields can impact those around you.

Whether you are able to carry a baby without them crying or pet a dog without them barking: studies show that it begins with your own perception. The thoughts you have for any moment have a way to influence your personal experience. In such a busy world where we strive to accomplish our goals: you have to prime yourself. Prepare yourself to achieve what you have set to accomplish and it only takes a few minutes a day. Here is my personal morning routine to prime myself: Cool: Take three full breaths. Take a big breath of fresh air in the morning, first thing. Walk outside if weather permits and inhale the fresh morning air. Don’t rush this process, fill your lungs with air slowly and deeply, and then exhale slowly and deeply. Visualize the oxygen filling your lungs and soaking into every inch of your body. Fresh air is the Best air.

Calm: Think of three things you are thankful for.
Family, friends, home, car, safety, flowers, love, whatever it is, note it. Allow yourself to savor the feeling of gratitude for the many things (often overlooked). Begin to see all the beauty that surrounds you already. Along with the breath it primes the day off positively releasing comparison thinking and wishing things were different. When we see all that we have to be grateful for, we bring into our lenses more to be grateful for.

Collected: Visualize the goals for the day and yourself accomplishing them.
The intention is to clear the mind and make space for your aspirations. Trap your thoughts, worries, and concerns. Plan for the day right here. The goal is to get it out of chaos and into order.

Engaged: Hydrate!

Immediately upon waking, hydrate! Drink lukewarm water to get your organs flushed out and joints lubricated. Not only does it jump start your metabolism by about 24%, it also helps your body flush out the toxins and replenishes it with energy. Add nothing to the water, keep it pure.

Whether you are launching into space, diving into the ocean or stepping into the room: if you knew you were going out into the world, likely to be faced with the infinite amount of emotions, feelings, and vibes: how would you better prepare for the waves? Take some of these ideas and create your own morning ritual. Make a healthy steer towards it to stay cool, calm, collected and engaged with the world to tackle your daily agenda.
